When is it going to end? When are the real All Stars going to be able to have their names announced in the starting line-up for the whole nation to see who the most outstanding players in the league are?
As of now, i still see names like David Wright, Derek Jeter, and Ichiro Suzuki in the starting line-up, now its not so much to me that those guys arent producing at the All Star level, but what saddenes me the most is to see names like Magglio Ordonez, Miguel Cabrera, and Orlando Cabrera left out at this point, also im still looking for when Gary Mathews Jr. cracks the TOP 15 ! now although he is not having a better season than any of the starters at this point, it still angers me to see names like Coco Crisp, Johnny Damon, and Craig Monroe above him, not only do the stats not compare with Gary Mathews Jr. to this point, the force Gary Mathews Jr. has brought to that Angel line-up from both the lead off spot, to the number four whole, is incredible, and his defense cannot be matched by anyone except possibly Torii Hunter and Grady Seizmore
and also, i almost throw-up everytime i see the name Jason Giambi on the TOP 5 of A.L first Baseman, with a guy like Casey Kotchman to be nowhere insight, no although Casey Kotchman might not be a marquee name just quite yet; but he sure is putting up marquee player type numbers.
and i mean it, if Barry Bonds doesnt get to start in Left Field to represent all he's done for the Giants over the past 18+ years, i will never watch another All Star game again, i mean Barry Larkin got to start at SS a few years back, even though he wasnt having that decent of a year, the thing is with Bonds, is not only the All Star game at San Francisco, but he's to this point not putting up that bad of numbers himself, including leading all of baseball in OBP.
