Alexis Rios (Alexis Israel Rios) was born on February 18, 1981 in Coffee, Alabama. He made his Major League debut on May 27, 2004 for the Toronto Blue Jays. In 2004, his rookie year, he hit .286 with 1 home run and 28 RBI. Rios played for the Toronto Blue Jays for his entire 3 year career.

- Selected by the Toronto Blue Jays in the 1st round (19th pick overall) of the free-agent draft on June 2, 1999 - signed June 4, 1999.

- Rios participated in the 2007 State Farm Home Run Derby. He led all competitors by hitting 19 home runs throughout the contest, but the final round was won by Vladimir Guerrero.
- Rios' walking-to-the-plate theme music is "Los Bandoleros" by Don Omar and Tego Calderon.
