Alexis Hornbuckle was a guard for the University of Tennessee Lady Volunteers. She was drafted with the #4 pick in the 2008 WNBA draft by the Detroit Shock.
Hornbuckle was also an all-state and all-county soccer player during her days at South Charleston High School, while lettering three times in soccer and twice in track. She was the 2002 state high jump champion.
