[edit] BiographyAcquired: Lions' 1st pick, 8th overall in the 2005 Canadian Draft 2006: Appeared in all 18 regular season games as well as the 2006 West Championship and 2006 Grey Cup. Made his professional debut in Week 1 versus Saskatchewan (June 16/06). Scored his first professional TD on his first career catch (4 yds from Pierce) at Saskatchewan (September 24/06). Playing primarily on special teams, Alexis also recorded five tackles last season. College: Alexis finished his four-year career at Kentucky with 835 yards on 207 rushes and 8 touchdowns. Also caught 28 passes for 259 yards and four TD's. Personal: Alexis graduated with a degree in Political Science and completed his Masters of Public Administration this past winter. His efforts off the field earned him Academic All-District IV (first team) honours from the College Sports Information Directors of America (2004) and second team honours in 2003. He was also named to the SEC Academic Honor Roll in 2002, 2003 and 2004.
