A current player for Arsenal F.C. Alex has been used as a central midfielder and a central defender.
Alexandre made his full international debut for Cameroon on January 23, 2008 when came on as a half time substitute for the Indomitable Lions. He replaced Stephane Mbia in the African Cup of Nations match versus Egypt.
