Alex Rodriguez Staying In Pinstripes

According to ESPN The Magazine's Buster Olney, Alex Rodriguez and the New York Yankees have agreed in principle to a 10-year, $275 million contract. The contract could also pay an additional amount in incentives for breaking Barry Bonds' all-time home run record.
A-Rod's agent, Scott Boras, was not in the room when the two parties came to terms. This development has to be viewed as a huge loss for Boras, who postured for weeks as though other teams were willing to spend $350 million for Rodriguez's services. In the end, though, A-Rod made it clear that he wanted to remain a Yankee, whether Boras was involved in the negotiations or not.
