High School: Lettered in four sports at Sacred Heart Griffin--three letters each in basketball, baseball and golf and one in football ... Began playing football as a senior in high school ... Caught 75 passes for more than 1,300 yards and 22 touchdowns ... Earned all-conference honors in 2005 and was an All-State selection by the Chicago Tribune, Chicago Sun-Times and IHSA ...Also an all-conference baseball player ... Was one of the region's top prep golfers until he moved to football ... High school team won the Class 5A Championship and made the state tournament in baseball ... High school coach was Ken Leonard.
