Alex Ramirez (Alexander Ramon Ramirez) was born on October 3, 1974 in Caracas, Distrito Federal (Venezuela). He made his Major League debut on September 19, 1998 for the Cleveland Indians. In 2000, his rookie year, he hit .247 with 9 home runs and 30 RBI. Ramirez played for the Cleveland Indians and Pittsburgh Pirates over the course of his 3 year career.
