Born on May 13, 1884 in Montrose, Michigan, Alex Main (Miles Grant Main) played for the Detroit Tigers, Kansas City Packers and Philadelphia Phillies over the course of his 3 year career. Main broke into the bigs on April 18, 1914 with the Detroit Tigers, and put up a 2.67 ERA in 138.1 innings pitched in 1914, his rookie year.
