Alex Grammas (Alexander Peter Grammas) was born on April 3, 1926 in Birmingham, Alabama. He made his Major League debut on April 13, 1954 for the St. Louis Cardinals. In 1954, his rookie year, he hit .264 with 2 home runs and 29 RBI. Grammas played for the St. Louis Cardinals, Cincinnati Reds and Chicago Cubs over the course of his 10 year career.
