Alex Gonzalez (Alexander Gonzalez) was born on February 15, 1977 in Cagua, Aragua (Venezuela). He made his Major League debut on August 25, 1998 for the Florida Marlins. In 1999, his rookie year, he hit .277 with 14 home runs and 59 RBI. Gonzalez played for the Florida Marlins and Boston Red Sox over the course of his 9 year career.
Most people believe that Alex Gonzalez's best season was 2004, when he slugged 23 home runs and knocked in 79 runs.
