Born on July 14, 1866 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Alex Ferson (Alexander Ferson) played for the Washington Senators, Buffalo Bisons and Baltimore Orioles over the course of his 3 year career. Ferson broke into the bigs on May 4, 1889 with the Washington Senators, and put up a 3.90 ERA in 288.1 innings pitched in 1889, his rookie year.
