Alex Escobar

Alex Escobar (Alexander Jose Escobar) was born on September 6, 1978 in Valencia, Carabobo (Venezuela). He made his Major League debut on May 8, 2001 for the New York Mets. In 2004, his rookie year, he hit .211 with 1 home run and 12 RBI. Escobar played for the New York Mets, Cleveland Indians and Washington Nationals over the course of his 4 year career.
