Alex Edgar (Alexander Willis Edgar) was born on September 17, 1898 in Morning Sun, Iowa. After going to high school at Kiski Prep (Saltsburg, PA) and Wilkinsburg (PA), Edgar attended Bucknell University, the University of Pittsburgh and Washington & Jefferson College. Edgar made his professional debut in the NFL in 1923 with the Buffalo All-Americans. He played for the Buffalo All-Americans for his entire 1 year career.
