Albert Simpson Shaw

Al Shaw (Albert Simpson Shaw) was born on March 1, 1881 in Toledo, Illinois. He made his Major League debut on September 28, 1907 for the St. Louis Cardinals. In 1908, his rookie year, he hit .264 with 1 home run and 19 RBI. Shaw played for the St. Louis Cardinals, Brooklyn Tip-Tops and Kansas City Packers over the course of his 5 year career.
There is some disagreement on what was Al Shaw's most productive season. Some believe that it was 1915, when he hit for a .281 average and knocked in 67 runs. However, others believe that it was 1914, when he hit for a .324 average.
