Al Wickland (Albert Wickland) was born on January 27, 1888 in Chicago, Illinois. He made his Major League debut on August 21, 1913 for the Cincinnati Reds. In 1914, his rookie year, he hit .276 with 6 home runs and 68 RBI. Wickland played for the Cincinnati Reds, Chicago Whales, Pittsburgh Rebels, Boston Braves and New York Yankees over the course of his 5 year career.

Most people believe that Al Wickland's best season was 1914, when he hit for a .276 average and knocked in 68 runs.
