Al Vandeweghe (Alfred Bernard Vandeweghe) was born on October 25, 1920 in Wyckoff, New Jersey. After going to high school at Hampton (VA), Vandeweghe attended The College of William & Mary. Vandeweghe made his professional debut in the AAFC in 1946 with the Buffalo Bisons. He played for the Buffalo Bisons for his entire 1 year career.
