Al Toon (Al Lee Toon) was born on April 30, 1963 in Newport News, Virginia. After going to high school at Menchville (Newport News, VA), Toon attended the University of Wisconsin. Toon made his professional debut in the NFL in 1985 with the New York Jets. He played for the New York Jets for his entire 8 year career.

Most people believe that 1986 was Al Toon's best year, as he hauled in 85 receptions, had 1176 receiving yards and caught 8 TD passes.
