Al Thacker (Alvin Monroe Thacker) was born on March 1, 1919 in Kayford, West Virginia. Thacker attended the College of Charleston. Thacker made his professional debut in the NFL in 1942 with the Philadelphia Eagles. He played for the Philadelphia Eagles for his entire 1 year career.
