Al Sykes (Alfred J. Sykes) was born on December 20, 1947 in Tallahassee, Florida. Sykes attended Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University. Sykes made his professional debut in the NFL in 1971 with the New England Patriots. He played for the New England Patriots for his entire 1 year career.
