Al Smith (Al Fredrick Smith) was born on November 26, 1964 in Los Angeles, California. After going to high school at St. Bernard (Playa del Rey, CA), Smith attended California State Polytechnic University and Utah State University. Smith made his professional debut in the NFL in 1987 with the Houston Oilers. He played for the Houston Oilers for his entire 10 year career.
Most people believe that 1991 was Al Smith's best year, as he ran back a fumble for a touchdown.
