Al Scheer (Albert G. Scheer) was born on October 27, 1888 in Groveport, Ohio. He made his Major League debut on August 2, 1913 for the Brooklyn Superbas. In 1914, his rookie year, he hit .306 with 3 home runs and 45 RBI. Scheer played for the Brooklyn Superbas and Newark Peppers over the course of his 3 year career.
