Al Platte (Alfred Frederick Joseph Platte) was born on April 13, 1890 in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He made his Major League debut on September 1, 1913 for the Detroit Tigers. Platte played for the Detroit Tigers for his entire 1 year career.
