Al Pilarcik (Alfred James Pilarcik) was born on July 3, 1930 in Whiting, Indiana. He made his Major League debut on July 13, 1956 for the Kansas City Athletics. In 1956, his rookie year, he hit .251 with 4 home runs and 22 RBI. Pilarcik played for the Kansas City Athletics, Baltimore Orioles and Chicago White Sox over the course of his 6 year career.

Most people believe that Al Pilarcik's best season was 1957, when he hit for a .278 average.
