Al Pedrique (Alfredo Jose (Garcia) Pedrique) was born on August 11, 1960 in Valencia, Carabobo (Venezuela). He made his Major League debut on April 14, 1987 for the Pittsburgh Pirates. In 1987, his rookie year, he hit .294 with 1 home run and 27 RBI. Pedrique played for the Pittsburgh Pirates, New York Mets and Detroit Tigers over the course of his 3 year career.
