Al Owen

Al Owen (Herbert Alton Owen) was born on February 16, 1913 in Glen Ridge, New Jersey. After going to high school at Leonia (NJ), Owen attended Mercer University and St. Lawrence University. Owen made his professional debut in the NFL in 1939 with the New York Giants. He played for the New York Giants for his entire 3 year career.
Most people believe that 1939 was Al Owen's best year.
