Al Nipper

Born on April 2, 1959 in San Diego, California, Al Nipper (Albert Samuel Nipper) played for the Boston Red Sox, Chicago Cubs and Cleveland Indians over the course of his 7 year career. Nipper broke into the bigs on September 6, 1983 with the Boston Red Sox, and put up a 3.89 ERA in 182.2 innings pitched in 1984, his rookie year.
Most people believe that Al Nipper's best season was 1984, when he posted a 3.89 ERA, won 11 games and struck out 84 batters.
