Al Newman (Albert Dwayne Newman) was born on June 30, 1960 in Kansas City, Missouri. He made his Major League debut on June 14, 1985 for the Montreal Expos. In 1986, his rookie year, he hit .200 with 1 home run and 8 RBI. Newman played for the Montreal Expos, Minnesota Twins and Texas Rangers over the course of his 8 year career.

Most people believe that Al Newman's best season was 1989, when he stole 25 bases.
