Al Mitchell (Albert Edwin Mitchell) was born on August 30, 1897 in Greenville, Pennsylvania. After going to high school at Greenville (PA), Mitchell attended Thiel College. Mitchell made his professional debut in the NFL in 1924 with the Buffalo Bisons. He played for the Buffalo Bisons for his entire 1 year career.
