Al Mahrt (Alphonse Herman Mahrt) was born on October 12, 1893 in Dayton, Ohio. Mahrt attended the University of Dayton. Mahrt made his professional debut in the APFA in 1920 with the Dayton Triangles. He played in the APFA for 2 years, playing for the Dayton Triangles the entire time. Mahrt also played in the NFL for 1 year, playing for the Dayton Triangles the entire time.
