Al Luplow (Alvin David Luplow) was born on March 13, 1939 in Saginaw, Michigan. He made his Major League debut on September 16, 1961 for the Cleveland Indians. In 1962, his rookie year, he hit .277 with 14 home runs and 45 RBI. Luplow played for the Cleveland Indians, New York Mets and Pittsburgh Pirates over the course of his 7 year career.

Most people believe that Al Luplow's best season was 1962, when he hit for a .277 average.
