Al Leith (Alfred Leith) was born on March 14, 1903 in Brooklyn, New York. After going to high school at Erasmus Hall (Brooklyn, NY), Leith attended the University of Pennsylvania. Leith made his professional debut in the NFL in 1926 with the Brooklyn Lions. He played for the Brooklyn Lions for his entire 1 year career.
