Al Lauer (Albert Lee Lauer) was born on October 14, 1897 in Muncie, Indiana. Lauer attended the University of Iowa. Lauer made his professional debut in the NFL in 1922 with the Evansville Crimson Giants. He played for the Evansville Crimson Giants for his entire 1 year career.
