Born on July 21, 1949 in Oakland, California, Al Hrabosky (Alan Thomas Hrabosky) played for the St. Louis Cardinals, Kansas City Royals and Atlanta Braves over the course of his 13 year career. Hrabosky broke into the bigs on June 16, 1970 with the St. Louis Cardinals, and put up a 2.09 ERA in 56 innings pitched in 1973, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Al Hrabosky's best season was 1975, when he posted a 1.66 ERA, won 13 games, notched 22 saves and struck out 82 batters.
