Al Heist (Alfred Michael Heist) was born on October 5, 1927 in Brooklyn, New York. He made his Major League debut on July 17, 1960 for the Chicago Cubs. In 1961, his rookie year, he hit .255 with 7 home runs and 37 RBI. Heist played for the Chicago Cubs and Houston Colt .45s over the course of his 3 year career.
