Al Gallagher (Alan Mitchell Edward George Patrick Henry Gallagher) was born on October 19, 1945 in San Francisco, California. He made his Major League debut on April 7, 1970 for the San Francisco Giants. In 1970, his rookie year, he hit .266 with 4 home runs and 28 RBI. Gallagher played for the San Francisco Giants and California Angels over the course of his 4 year career.

Most people believe that Al Gallagher's best season was 1971, when he hit for a .277 average and knocked in 57 runs.
