Born on March 21, 1946 in Buffalo, New York, Al Fitzmorris (Alan James Fitzmorris) played for the Kansas City Royals, Cleveland Indians and California Angels over the course of his 10 year career. Fitzmorris broke into the bigs on September 8, 1969 with the Kansas City Royals, and put up a 4.44 ERA in 117.2 innings pitched in 1970, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Al Fitzmorris's best season was 1976, when he posted a 3.06 ERA, won 15 games and struck out 80 batters.
