Al Dotson (Alphonse Alan Dotson) was born on February 25, 1943 in Houston, Texas. After going to high school at Jack Yates (Houston, TX), Dotson attended Grambling State University. Dotson made his professional debut in the AFL in 1965 with the Kansas City Chiefs. He played in the AFL for 4 years, playing for the Oakland Raiders, Miami Dolphins and Kansas City Chiefs over the course of his 4 year AFL career.Dotson also played in the NFL for 1 year, playing for the Oakland Raiders the entire time.
