Al DeVormer (Albert E. DeVormer) was born on August 19, 1891 in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He made his Major League debut on August 4, 1918 for the Chicago White Sox. In 1923, his rookie year, he hit .258 with 0 home runs and 18 RBI. DeVormer played for the Chicago White Sox, New York Yankees, Boston Red Sox and New York Giants over the course of his 5 year career.
