Al DeRogatis (Albert John DeRogatis) was born on May 5, 1927 in Newark, New Jersey. After going to high school at Central (Newark, NJ), DeRogatis attended Duke University. DeRogatis made his professional debut in the NFL in 1949 with the New York Giants. He played for the New York Giants for his entire 4 year career.
Most people believe that 1950 was Al DeRogatis's best year, as he recovered 3 opponents fumbles and ran back a fumble for a touchdown.
