Born on December 3, 1926 in Newburgh, New York, Al Corwin (Elmer Nathan Corwin) played for the New York Giants for his entire 5 year career. Corwin broke into the bigs on July 25, 1951 with the New York Giants, and put up a 3.66 ERA in 59 innings pitched in 1951, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Al Corwin's best season was 1952, when he posted a 2.66 ERA.
