Al Carapella (Alfred Richard Carapella) was born on April 26, 1927 in Tuckahoe, New York. After going to high school at Tuckahoe (NY), Carapella attended the University of Miami. Carapella made his professional debut in the NFL in 1951 with the San Francisco 49ers. He played for the San Francisco 49ers for his entire 5 year career.
Most people believe that 1954 was Al Carapella's best year.
