Al Bansavage (Albert A. Bansavage) was born on January 9, 1938 in Jersey City, New Jersey. After going to high school at Union City (NJ), Bansavage attended The Citadel and the University of Southern California. Bansavage made his professional debut in the AFL in 1960 with the Los Angeles Chargers. He played for the Oakland Raiders and Los Angeles Chargers over the course of his 2 year career.
