Al Baldwin (Alton Baldwin) was born on April 16, 1923 in Hot Springs, Arkansas. After going to high school at Hot Springs (AR), Baldwin attended the University of Arkansas. Baldwin made his professional debut in the AAFC in 1947 with the Buffalo Bills. He played in the AAFC for 3 years, playing for the Buffalo Bills the entire time. Baldwin also played in the NFL for 1 year, playing for the Green Bay Packers the entire time.

Most people believe that 1948 was Al Baldwin's best year, as he hauled in 54 receptions, had 916 receiving yards and caught 8 TD passes.
