Born on January 13, 1972 in Chiba, Japan, Akinori Otsuka (Akinori Otsuka) played for the San Diego Padres and Texas Rangers over the course of his 3 year career. Otsuka broke into the bigs on April 6, 2004 with the San Diego Padres, and put up a 1.75 ERA in 77.1 innings pitched in 2004, his rookie year.
