Age Aint Nothing But a Number

Proving once again, that you are only as old as you feel, 43 year old Vinny Testaverde as signed by the New England Patriots yesterday. Testaverda is a 19 year veteran of the NFL and will be coming out of retirement for the second time on this current tour of duty.

Testaverde was drafted in 1987 by the Tampa Bay Bucs. Since then he has played with Cleveland Browns, Baltimore Ravens, NY Jets and the Dallas Cowboys. He will provide veteran leadership to the Patriots locker room, and because of his experience he has the capability to step in immediately as relief for Tom Brady if needed.

This is a good insurence policy for the Pats. Something is wrong with Brady, at the very least his arm is tired and sore. Testaverde is a seasoned Vet, who can step in and maintain the ship for a week or two or for a half.
