[edit] Biography

Adam Stern (Adam James Stern) was born on February 12, 1980 in London, Ontario (Canada). He made his Major League debut on July 7, 2005 for the Boston Red Sox. Stern played for the Boston Red Sox for his entire 2 year career.

Stern was taken by the Boston Red Sox from the Atlanta Braves before the 2005 season in the Rule 5 draft. Through some created roster management and injury creations the Red Sox were able to keep him on their roster for the entire year. He had just 15 AB's and spent most of his year on the DL and rehabbing in Pawtucket

Stern played for the Canadian team in the 2006 World Baseball Classic. He had a good few games before Canada was eliminated from the competition.

[edit] Scouting Report

Stern is a speedy outfielder known more for his defense than his hitting. He may be able to hit for a decent average as a major leaguer, but he'll never have much in the way of power. He profiles as more of a fourth or fifth outfielder coming in as a pinch runner/defensive replacement.
