Adam Braidwood

Drafted in the first round (1st overall) in the 2006 CFL Canadian Draft. Braidwood played in 15 games (10 starts) in an impressive rookie season. He recorded 20 defensive tackles, four quarterback sacks, one tackle for a loss, five forced fumbles, two fumble returns and a touchdown. He earned CFL Lineman of the Week honours for his outstanding performance in the Labour Day Rematch when he racked up three forced fumbles, two tackles, two quarterback sacks and a touchdown. On the final play of the game, Braidwood forced a fumble and took it in for the score. Adam got his first start in Game 6. He missed three games near the end of the season with a hamstring injury. Braidwood was the Eskimo nominee for Rookie of the Year.

Adam is an emerging star in mixed martial arts. “The Boogeyman” as he’s known in fight circles, Braidwood won his pro debut (Feb. 3, 2007) with a first-round knockout of challenger Ryan Jimmo.
