Born on July 10, 1906 in Dwight, Nebraska, Ad Liska (Adolph James Liska) played for the Washington Senators and Philadelphia Phillies over the course of his 5 year career. Liska broke into the bigs on April 17, 1929 with the Washington Senators, and put up a 4.77 ERA in 94.1 innings pitched in 1929, his rookie year.
Most people believe that Ad Liska's best season was 1930, when he posted a 3.29 ERA.
