Born on March 2, 1910 in Willows, California, Ace Adams (Ace Townsend Adams) played for the New York Giants for his entire 6 year career. Adams broke into the bigs on April 15, 1941 with the New York Giants, and put up a 4.82 ERA in 71 innings pitched in 1941, his rookie year.

There is some disagreement on what was Ace Adams's most productive season. Some believe that it was 1945, when he posted a 3.42 ERA, won 11 games and notched 15 saves. However, others believe that it was 1942, when he posted a 1.84 ERA and notched 11 saves.
